Jill finished a sweet little hat for Ella in Ty-Dy Wool, but it went off to her as soon as the last stitch was bound off. (Babies grow so fast!)
Annie completed the stitching on her amazing Rib & Cabled Cape, shown at right in the pattern photo from Folk Chic by Debbie Bliss. Annie’s version has a lot more pizazz because it’s made from madelinetosh dk in oh-so-red Tart, but by Thursday it wasn’t quite ready for its close-up.
Bonnie stitched (in record time!) a beautiful shop sample for us of the vest pattern Simply Squared with our newest Trendsetter yarn, Vigna. I’ve used another pattern shot here because it, too, was not quite an official FO in time for a photo shoot.
I could blame this week’s photo drought on the fact that so many boxes of new fall yarns have just arrived that my camera hasn’t once left its case, which is true. (Each yarn comes in multiple colors. And each color has many skeins. And each skein needs a tag…) But instead I’m just going to point the finger at the third week of August, a.k.a. summertime, when the stitching is easy, and deadlines take an overdue vacation. FO photos of these projects and more should appear next week.
Don’t be shy. Bring your completed work with you whenever you visit so I can take a snap or send me pictures in an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
